Hi ,
February was named for the Roman god Februs, the god of purification which makes sense to me, since it is a time for shedding off the winter and preparing for Spring and Summer. February is also the shortest month so it has a big kick for getting things into gear and moving things along.

If you have been stuck in any way, or have lost your sense of purpose, February is a great month to gather all your strength and set your focus for the rest of the year. What do you want from your life? Well, most people want to be healthy, wealthy and happy. So are you doing what you need to do to be healthy? Eating good, nourishing foods? Exercising—going for a walk—parking at the far side of the lot and walking to the store instead of driving round for ages trying to find the nearest spot? As far as wealth goes—it all begins with a thought. I know that sounds crazy especially if you don’t think you are being paid enough. Well consider this—many people in the world don’t have the luxury of doing many of the things that you do. You most likely live in a war-free zone—have hot and cold running water—that actually comes out of a spout and not drawn from a well. And you probably have a bed to sleep in, a roof over your head and a TV in your living room.
I remember once volunteering for PADS, an organization that provides a mattress a ‘pad’ for homeless people to sleep on at night. We were in this church and all the ‘pads’ were occupied. Next morning, everyone had to be up and out very early, some had jobs, and some had not. We were giving them breakfast before they left and one young man came up to me and said, “is there anyplace I can wash my hair?” I showed him the sink in the bathroom and he said, “Is there any shampoo?” All I could give him was some dishwashing liquid—there was nothing else on hand in the church. After he had used it he came back looking cleaner and said, “I’m going for a job interview this morning, so I wanted to look my best.” So wealth my friends is all a point of view.
As far as happiness goes, that’s up to you and me. No one can make me happy, or you happy. It has to come from within and it begins with a thought. “What do I have to be happy about?” Well I’m alive. The planet is still doing it’s job spinning through the universe, I may as well be great at my job too. You see, happiness comes from having done things in the right way. Completing projects that you said you would complete on time. Having the right attitude with friends, family and co-workers. Being helpful and always leaving a place better than you found it—whether that be saying, ‘thank you’ to the wait staff that serve you, or ‘picking up’ after yourself.
